Simple and delicate

   Je viens de participer à un concours qui a priori ne me ressemble pas, puisqu'il s'agit de créer une illustration pour le magazine Glamour, avec pour thème "dessiner votre icône glamour".
Malgré tout, le challenge me plaisait et si à la base je comptais m'essayer à une illustration bien "mode", j'ai finalement décider de rester dans mon univers, ce qui est après tout important je pense.

Malheureusement, je n'ai pas eu le temps de m'en occuper avant et aujourd'hui est le dernier jour pour voter... Sachant que le jury sélectionnera le gagnant parmi les 5 plus votés et que ceux-ci ont actuellement dépassé les 2000 votes, je sais que je n'ai aucune chance.
Cependant, je laisse traîner le lien pour ceux qui passeraient par là aujourd'hui et qui voudraient bien me montrer leur soutien, car même si je ne gagne pas, ça me ferait très plaisir de savoir si mon dessin plaît au moins à quelques personnes. Merci !

   I just sent my participation for a contest that doesn't look like me a priori, since it's about creating an illustration for the magazine 'Glamour', with "draw your glamorous icon" as its theme.

Nonetheless, I liked the challenge and if at first I was intending to try myself to a purely "fashion" illustration, I eventually decided to stay in my world, which is afterall important I think.

Unfortunately, I hadn't had the time to deal with it sooner and today is the last day for voting... Knowing that the jury will select the winner among the 5 with the most votes and that those currently crossed 2000 votes, I know I have no chance.

However, I am leaving here the link for those who would come by today and would want to show me their support, because even if I don't win, I would be very pleased to know if at least a few people like my drawing. Thank you !

FALL

Heart in a circle
Bleeding crumbled blossoms

Shrivelled down in a well
Staring up at what is so dear
You loose your breath and limbs unclear,
Still painting your own shell

And you hope to reach kingdoms
That lead another ramble

Just some little things...

   First off, as promised, I'm gonna show you how the prints tree looks like when it gets its leaves ! At this point it wasn't finished yet but you can see that the evolution was good enough. And someone even printed a leaf on the ground, just like I had imagined :3
I've been complimented a lot about it and I know the main interested people love it too, so that is really rewarding and pleasant to hear :)


   Secondly, events happen a lot lately around me, and I was pleased to take part in the making of gifts for again another birthday. What was great is that I know I share the same tastes as the person I was making the gifts for (despite the 24 years separating us... Another proof that age doesn't matter !), so I was doing these as if they were for myself and I almost wanted to keep them, haha ! And bingo, she really loved the wristband in particular.
... As a matter of fact, pretty much everybody loved it and I got a few subliminal requests for the same one ! So I throw it here randomly in case, but I'll know better later what future promises, that if you're interested in having the same wristband... You can leave me a comment :)

   A l'occasion d'un très joli évènement dans ma famille, on m'a confié la réalisation d'un arbre à empreintes. C'est-à-dire que j'en ai dessiné le tronc et qu'il sera destiné à recevoir son feuillage constitué des empreintes de tous les invités, s'illuminant ainsi de rouge, jaune et vert, couleurs de l'automne naissant...

Je tenterai d'en prendre une photo une fois paré !

   To the occasion of a very pretty event within my family, I have been tasked to realise a prints tree. Which is to say that I have drawn its trunk and that it will be meant to receive its foliage composed of all of the guests' prints, lighting up with red, yellow and green, colors of the dawning autumn...

I will attempt to take a picture of it once it's adorned !

Un petit tour en Provence...

   Je peux enfin vous montrer des extraits de ma première commande publique finalisée ! Il s'agit de 8 illustrations réalisées pour la Mairie de Pélissanne, mon village, qui apparaîtront sur les plans touristiques ! En cours d'exécution, trois d'entre elles ont également servi à représenter le village au sein du concours des "villages fleuris de France" ! Et tout récemment, l'illustration du beffroi (ci-dessous) a été imprimée sur 900 cartons d'invitations pour accueillir les nouveaux arrivants sur la commune. Que de bonnes surprises ! Et peut-être d'autres à venir...

   I can at last show you some extracts from my first finalized public order ! It is about 8 illustrations made for the City Hall of Pélissanne, my village, that will appear on sightseeing maps ! During the realisation, three of them have also been used to stand for the village within the "France's flowered villages" competition ! And very recently, the illustration of the belfry (below) has been printed on 900 invitation cards to welcome the new inhabitants of the city. How good surprises these are ! And maybe others to come...
