Judith

Voilà un petit croquis fait dans le train (ça balançait un peu mais bon!) à partir d'une idée que j'ai depuis un petit moment dans la tête... Reprendre la figure de Judith mais façon moi! Quand je suis allée aux Beaux Arts de Nantes, j'ai été fascinée par une Judith ( par un peintre anonyme) au visage si pur, si jeune par rapport aux peintures habituelles, où Judith est montrée bien en chair et aux allures un peu masculines. Donc j'ai voulu garder ce côté jeune et innocent en contraste avec sa délicate histoire... et donc avec un peu d'humour =p
En postant ce croquis, j'espère avoir bientôt le temps de le faire évoluer en une réelle illustration en couleurs ^^

Here is a little sketch done in the train (it was rocking a bit but yeah!) after an idea I have for a little while in my head... Remake the character of Judith but my way! When I went to the Beaux-Arts Museum of Nantes, I have been fascinated by a Judith (painted by an anonymous artist) with a face so pure, so young compared to the usual paintings, where Judith is shown full of flesh and with kind of a male behaviour. So I wanted to keep this young and innocent side in contrast to her delicate story... and so with a bit of humour =p
By posting this sketch, I hope having soon the time to make it evolve into a real colored illustration ^^

Dualité

Mon premier sujet de création d'image de cette année: illustrer la dualité en noir et blanc uniquement. L'idée du noir et blanc était évidemment parfaite pour exprimer deux choses qui s'opposent mais après ça, j'ai passé beaucoup de temps sur les recherches du visuel... Pour finalement développer ma toute première idée (comme quoi!). Et ceci dit, pourquoi est-ce qu'on dit toujours "noir et blanc" et jamais "blanc et noir", hein?

My first picture creation subject of this year: illustrate duality with black and white only. The idea of black and white was obviously perfect to express two things opposing but after that, I spent a lot of time on the visual research... To end developing my very first idea (so that mean something!). And as a side note, why do we always say "black and white" and never "white and black", eh?

... avec un petit brin de mer! Eh oui, finalement Marseille ça manque ^^

Souvenirs des cours de photos de l'année dernière, contrastes, couleurs... Et de petites choses intéressantes trouvées dans un coin, qui ne demandaient qu'à être regardées pour ce qu'elles sont, pleines de sensibilité et de charme, et à nous raconter un peu de leur histoire...

... with a little breath of sea! Well yeah, eventually Marseilles is being missed ^^ Memories of the photography class last year, contrasts, colors... And little interesting things found in a corner, which were only asking for being watched for what they are, full of sensibility and charm, and for telling us a bit of their story...

 

 

 

 

Et pour finir, il a bien fallu quitter Marseille mais pas la mer! Du côté de Nantes, l'Océan n'est pas loin...
