    Mon projet en collaboration avec l'auteur Christos compte à présent une planche terminée ! Ouf ! Ce fut un peu long (depuis le temps que je n'avais pas fait de grandes illus comme ça ! On rouille !!) mais ça y est, celle-ci est terminée :)
La suite risque d'être assez longue, mais même si très occupée, je ne lâche pas l'affaire ;) Je vous tiendrai au courant de la suite, dans la limite du possible ! (Je ne veux pas non en dévoiler trop :))

    My project in collaboration with the author Christos is now counting one board done ! Phew ! It was a bit long (after such a long time that I hadn't done those kind of big illustrations ! We get rusted !!) but that's it, this one is done :)
The rest will be most likely rather long to come, but even if very busy, I'm not letting go of it ;) I will kep you updated for what's next, as far as I can ! (I don't want either to unveil too much :))

... Je suis toujours en retard !! En effet, j'ai oublié de poster des petites nouveautés par ici !
Depuis bien des mois, je travaille sur un projet d'album avec l'auteur Christos, et même si ça n'avance qu'à petits pas, les progrès se font quand même sentir.
Donc je laisse ici à qui veut un petit aperçu de mes croquis pour ce projet. En espérant que ça vous plaise :)
Et je vais tâcher de ne pas oublier de poster un autre aperçu d'ici quelques jours !!

... I'm always late!! Indeed, I forgot to post some little news around here!
It's been months that I'm working on a book project with the author Christos, and even if it's moving on only with little steps, progress can still be felt.
So I leave here for who wants a little hint of my sketches for this project. Hopefully you will like it :)
And I will try not to forget to post another hint in most likely a few days !!

INKTOBER ! (Part.4)

    C'est avec beaucoup de retard que je poste ici mes derniers Inktober. Je n'aurai pas réussi à faire les 31 jours mais tant pis ! Cela a tout de même été très enrichissant, et puis des mois d'Octobre il y en aura d'autres :)
Je vous laisse donc avec deux petits personnages qui me serviront à une nouvelle illustration en préparation, ainsi qu'un panda roux fermant la marche, d'après la demande d'une amie.

On se retrouve donc bientôt pour, si tout va bien, la première illustration couleur depuis bien des mois !! :)

    It's with a lot of delay that I post here my last Inktober. I won't have succeeded doing the 31 days but nevermind ! It was still very fruitful and afterall, there will be other months of October :)
I leave you then with two little characters that will be used for a new illustration in progress, as well as a red panda closing the walk, after the request of a friend.

We will see then soon for, if everything goes well, the first colour illustration in many months !! :)

Suite au petit concours/vote mis en place la semaine dernière, j'ai reçu beaucoup de participations et le grand vainqueur a été l'illustration n°3, avec le renne :)

Aujourd'hui, j'ai besoin de vous. Vous qui passez par hasard (ou pas) sur ce blog et qui prenez la peine de regarder mon travail.
Il y a de cela quelques semaines, j'ai été contactée par Mister Dress-Up, qui est une boutique en ligne de T-shirts, imprimés en édition limitée avec des visuels de divers artistes.

    Hello everybody !
Today I need you. You, who come across randomly (or not) on this blog and who take the time to look at my work.
A few weeks ago from now, I've been reached by Mister Dress-Up, which is an online store for T-shirts, printed in limited edition with diverse artists' visuals.
I've then been suggested to send them one of my illustrations so it can be itself printedon a shirt ! But I don't know which one to choose... That's the reason why I'd appreciate if you could give your opinion about which one of those visuals you would imagine best on a white shirt :)

On top of that, the ones of you who will have voted for the winning visual will be selected for a little draw, after which you will be able to win the said shirt ! :) (every sizes for girls, boys and children)

INKTOBER ! (Part.3)

 

    I know... We're not in October anymore... But anyway, some of those were made while it was STILL October and I will still try to reach the 31 drawings, if my imagination can hold until then :)

It will also be a matter of do I have enough time to do it with all the new things that are adding up lately in my life. Not to mention projects I have for such a long time in mind and for which it's time to move on !!

Actually, all these 4 drawings have been inspired by my environment. And I mean... Really inspired. Of course inspiration comes all the time from everything but it was when looking at what was around me that I was instantly transpose them into a black and white drawing. My favorite may be the one with the bird, because that view was so lovely and so graphic, if I may. It's possible that I wanto to do it again, in a better and more precise way, and with some colors. What do you think ? :)

 

   The first drawing has been inspired by the autumn leaves that literally cover the ground on mornings I'm working. They're from all shapes to all colours and it creates such a lovely patchwork.

   The second drawing is absolutely nothing else than descibing in my own language what I saw one afternoon while going to walk. A bird in the middle of this skinny but lovely bush...

   The third one is more or less a painted reproduction of a picture that can be seen in the booklet of the album Ghosts of Loss, by Swallow The Sun. The photographer is Tuomo Lehtonen.

   And the last picture is after a vision I had of the moon one night. It was a big, very colored half-moon, and I could see as if it was lemon slices... With its border really brighter thatn the rest, and quite thin. So that was my interpreation !

INKTOBER ! (Part.2)

    Je suis bien en retard maintenant, mais je vais tenter de poursuivre l'aventure et me rattraper le plus possible :) En attendant, voici deux nouveaux dessins ! Thème animalier toujours...

INKTOBER ! (Part.1)

HELLO !

Voilà maintenant plusieurs semaines, voire plusieurs mois, que je n'avais rien posté ici ! Entre des activités personnelles, un deuxième petit travail qui me prend quand même pas mal de temps, pas d'internet pendant presque 1 mois et tout simplement la vie, je n'ai pas pu trouver beaucoup de temps pour dessiner. Mais on ne se change pas et ma passion pour l'illustration commençait à se faire sentir. Alors, à la veille du mois d'Octobre, je me suis souvenue que je souhaitais me lancer dans le challenge Inktober. Un bon moyen pour se remettre dans le bain en douceur.
Comme je n'avais internet que sur mon téléphone jusqu'à présent, cela m'était compliquer de poster ici. Aussi, nous sommes déjà le 19 Octobre et je vais donc partager en bloc tous les Inktober que j'ai réalisés jusqu'à maintenant. Vous remarquerez qu'il n'y a que 14 dessins... Oui, je suis en retard, mais point d'inquiétude, les 31 dessins seront là à la fin du mois :)

Ah oui, et pour ceux qui ne le savent pas en fait, le challenge Inktober consiste en un dessin à l'encre par jour pendant tout le mois d'Octobre :) Mon interprétation en fait un dessin à l'encre en noir et blanc car ce sont des techniques que je ne maîtrise pas bien, donc double intérêt, mais la couleur est possible, tant que c'est un type d'encre ! :)

HELLO !

It's been now several weeks, or even several months, that I hadn't posted anything here ! In between personal activities, a second little job that still takes me quite a lot of time, no internet for almost a month and simply life, I couldn't find much time to draw. But one can't change oneself and my passion for illustration started to be felt. So, on the eve of October, I remembered that I wanted to challenge myself with Inktober. A good way to start the machine back while softly.
As I had internet only on my phone until now, it was complicated for me to post here. Therefore, we're already on the 19th of October and I will then share all at once the Inktober I've realised so far. You will notice that there are only 14 drawings... Yes I'm late, but no worry, the 31 drawings will be here at the end of the month :)

Oh yeah, and for those who don't know actually, the Inktober challenge consists in one drawing made with ink per day during the whole October :) My interpretation makes of it one black and white drawing made with ink, because those are techniques I don't master, so the interest is doubled, but the color is possible as long as it's a type of ink ! :)

Hello mermaid !

   Bonjour ! Me revoilà après plus d'un mois d'absence ! J'ai été en effet très occupée et c'était prévu que je ne touche ni aux pinceaux ni aux crayons pendant un certain temps, mais ça y est, c'est en train de revenir :) Alors, pour reprendre doucement, voilà une petite illustration à l'encre de Chine légèrement modifiée par ordinateur ! Cela faisait plusieurs mois que j'avais envie de dessiner des sirènes... Donc m'y voilà !

Je vous dis à très bientôt, sûrement pour une petite série de photos :)

   Hello ! Here I am back after more than a month being away ! I've been indeed very busy and it was planned that I touch neither to paintbrushes nor to pencils for a little while, but that's it, it's coming back :) So, to start things again quite slowly, here is a little illustration made with Indian ink and slightly modified by computer ! It had been several months that I wanted to draw mermaids... So here I am !

I'll see you very soon, probably for a little series of pictures :)

Je suis contente de l'avoir enfin terminé après tout ce temps dans ma tête et pour continuer dans cette lignée, d'autres oiseaux suivront prochainement.

   Voici la première étape d'un dessin que j'avais envie de faire depuis assez longtemps (pour information, ça se compte en années... Ou presque. Bon d'accord, c'était il y a un peu plus d'un an !) J'avais envie de m'essayer aux oiseaux dans mes recherches de style, ici avec sa partenaire humaine ! 
Après mes nuances de base à l'encre de Chine, on passe aux détails... La suite arrive bientôt !

   Here is the first step of a drawing I wanted to do for quite a long time (for the record, it shall be counted in years... Or almost. Alright, it was a little more than a year ago !) I wanted to try myself at birds among my stylistic searches, here with its human partner !
After my basis shades with India ink, let's go into details... The next step is coming soon !

Un petit tour en Provence...

   Je peux enfin vous montrer des extraits de ma première commande publique finalisée ! Il s'agit de 8 illustrations réalisées pour la Mairie de Pélissanne, mon village, qui apparaîtront sur les plans touristiques ! En cours d'exécution, trois d'entre elles ont également servi à représenter le village au sein du concours des "villages fleuris de France" ! Et tout récemment, l'illustration du beffroi (ci-dessous) a été imprimée sur 900 cartons d'invitations pour accueillir les nouveaux arrivants sur la commune. Que de bonnes surprises ! Et peut-être d'autres à venir...

   I can at last show you some extracts from my first finalized public order ! It is about 8 illustrations made for the City Hall of Pélissanne, my village, that will appear on sightseeing maps ! During the realisation, three of them have also been used to stand for the village within the "France's flowered villages" competition ! And very recently, the illustration of the belfry (below) has been printed on 900 invitation cards to welcome the new inhabitants of the city. How good surprises these are ! And maybe others to come...

- Emergence (The Silent Sound of the Waves Never Stops) -

   L'été aura été productif ! Entre commande pour la Mairie de mon village, projet d'album en cours et collaboration pour des accessoires, je n'ai pas eu le temps de m'ennuyer ! Et bien qu'épuisant, ça fait quand même beaucoup de bien.
En espérant pouvoir bientôt partager l'avancée de chacun de ces projets !

   The summer will have been productive ! Between an order by the City Hall of my village, an album project and a collaboration for accessories, I haven't had time to get bored ! And even if exhausting, it still felt really good.
Hoping to soon share the progress of each one of these projects !

Vent de nouveauté

   Ces jours-ci, je travaille sur mon identité visuelle et sur le fait de trouver un imaginaire cohérent pour tous mes sites.
Il y a quelques mois, j'ai créé une bannière pour à la fois la page d'accueil de mon portfolio en ligne et pour ma page Facebook (vous pouvez trouver les liens dans la colonne de droite sur cette page). La prochaine étape pour moi était donc de créer un personnage qui me représente en ce moment, mais aussi qui soit logique avec la bannière déjà faite. Et c'est ce que vous pouvez voir juste au-dessus. Ce dessin va être utilisé aussi pour la page d'accueil du portfolio, mais également pour ma nouvelle carte de visite. Et... peut-être comme le commencement d'un ou deux projets que j'ai en tête. Mais il est bien trop tôt pour en parler (principalement parce que j'ai à peu près une TONNE d'autres projets qui m'attendent en ce moment).
Cela dit, j'espère pouvoir montrer la version en couleurs et finalisée de ceci très bientôt :)

   These days, I'm working on my visual identity and on finding a cohesive imaginery for all my sites.
A few months ago, I created a banner for both my online portfolio front page and my Facebook page (you can find the links in the column on the right of this page). Next step for me was then to create a new character that was representing me lately, as well as being logical with that banner already made. And this is was you can see just above. It will be used for the potfolio front page as well, but also for my new business card. And... Maybe as the beginning of a project or two I have in mind. But way too soon to tell more about that (mainly because I have about a TON of other projects waiting for me at the moment).
Anyway, I hope I can show the colored and finalized picture of this very soon :)

   Ce weekend, pour célébrer les premières températures qui commencent à nous donner envie de sortir et de se poser à l'ombre d'arbres touffus, je partage avec vous un dessin que j'avais dans l'idée de faire il y a quelques temps. A la base prévu pour la couleur, j'ai décidé d'en faire une illustration en noir et blanc afin de nourrir le dossier que je suis en train de monter.

De plus, il a été très relaxant à faire puisqu'assez rapide et surtout très instinctif =)

   This weekend, in order to celebrate the first temperatures that start making us want to go outside and lay down in the shade of some dense trees, I share with you a drawing I had in mind some time ago. At first meant for color, I decided to make out of it a black and white illustration, so I can feed the folder I am preparing.

Besides, it was very relaxing to make since rather quick and most of all very instinctive =)

  Première étape d'une idée que j'avais eue (et postée !!) il y a bien longtemps ! Mais je vais enfin pouvoir la développer ! L'image a bien changée depuis le premier croquis (et heureusement !) et pourrait encore un peu être modifiée à l'étape de la peinture, notamment au niveau de l'épée.
J'espère en tous cas pouvoir vous montrer le final très bientôt !

  First step of an idea I had had (and posted !!) a long time ago ! But I am at last going to be able to develop it ! The image has definitely changed since the first sketch (and thankfully !) and might still be modified a little bit during the painting step, especially somewhere around the sword.
Anyway, I hope I can show you the final very soon !

Return of the Jedi

  Pas le temps de poster quoi que ce soit cet été, mais je vais essayer de reprendre de bonnes habitudes en cette rentrée... En commençant par un petit croquis de modèle vivant, sur une pose de 20 minutes, à la pierre noire et réhauts de blanc sur carton... Un petit exercice en attendant le démarrage de l'emploi du temps officiel!

Et ci-dessous un travail datant d'il y a environ un an et demi, que j'ai retrouvé en faisant un peu de rangement et que j'ai trouvé plutôt rigolo. Une personne invisible s'habille...

  No time to post anything this summer, but I'm going to try to take good habits again with this new school year... Starting with a little sketch drawn from life, on a 20- minute long pose, done with a "black stone" pencil and white highlights added, on cardboard... A little assignment while waiting for the start of the official schedule!

And right below is a work done approximately one year and a half ago, that I found back while tidying a bit and that I thought was quite funny. An invisible person dresses up...
