Catching up...

Hello hello ! 
Je sais, je suis bien en retard sur ce blog... Et pourtant ! J'ai deux petites choses à vous montrer :) 
Ci-dessus, une version alternative de mon projet en papier découpé. Le visuel était prévu pour autre chose mais j'ai préféré ne pas le dévoiler ici et au lieu de ça le détourner pour vous proposer quelque chose de plus "abstrait", dans le sens où on reste sur de la mise en page de typo sans but précis :) Cela peut être une carte postale, une pochette d'album... Ce qu'on veut ! ^^

La deuxième chose, ci-dessous, est une nouvelle figurine en pâte à sel d'après mes cartes postales hivernales. J'ai eu la subite envie de modeler à nouveau et je me suis énormément amusée à peindre ce petit personnage !! J'espère qu'il vous plaît aussi :)

Hello hello !
I know, I am late on that blog... And still ! I have two little things to show you :)
Above, here is an alternate version of my project made with cut paper. The visual was planned for something else but I prefered not to unveil it here and instead turn it into something more "abstract" to show you, in the way that we stay onto something typography related without any specific aim :) It can be a postcard, an album cover... Anything we want ! ^^

The second thing, below, is a new figurine made out of salty dough after my wintery postacards. I got the sudden need to model again and had a lot of fun painting this little character !! I hope that you like it too :)

Just some little things...

   First off, as promised, I'm gonna show you how the prints tree looks like when it gets its leaves ! At this point it wasn't finished yet but you can see that the evolution was good enough. And someone even printed a leaf on the ground, just like I had imagined :3
I've been complimented a lot about it and I know the main interested people love it too, so that is really rewarding and pleasant to hear :)


   Secondly, events happen a lot lately around me, and I was pleased to take part in the making of gifts for again another birthday. What was great is that I know I share the same tastes as the person I was making the gifts for (despite the 24 years separating us... Another proof that age doesn't matter !), so I was doing these as if they were for myself and I almost wanted to keep them, haha ! And bingo, she really loved the wristband in particular.
... As a matter of fact, pretty much everybody loved it and I got a few subliminal requests for the same one ! So I throw it here randomly in case, but I'll know better later what future promises, that if you're interested in having the same wristband... You can leave me a comment :)

 

Tortue et Chouette

   C'est chose plutôt rare, mais il m'arrive quand même de faire de petites figurines de ce genre... Ici, c'était en fait un cadeau pour ma maman qui adore les tortues et les chouettes ^^ Cela a été fait en pâte à modeler durcissante, peinte ensuite à l'acrylique, et en ce qui concerne la physionomie des deux petits personnages, je me suis inspirée de moi-même, d'une image que j'avais déjà faite auparavant (en prévision d'une possible histoire pour enfant racontant les aventures d'un lapin et d'un hérisson ^^).

Donc voilà, ce qu'il se passe, c'est que je poste des travaux de plus en plus anciens... J'ai toujours mon énoooorme liste de choses à faire dans un coin de ma tête, mais je n'arrive déjà pas à démarrer mes devoirs d'été... En espérant que j'aie quand même quelque chose de tout nouveau à montrer avant la fin de l'été!

   It's a pretty rare thing, but I though happen to make little figurines of this kind... Here, it was actually a gift for my mom who loves turtles and owls ^^ It was made with hardening modelling clay, then painted with acrylic, and as far as the appearance of the two little characters is concerned, I got inspired from myself, from a picture I had alerady done before (in anticipation of a possible children story telling the adentures of a rabbit and a hedgehog ^^).

So now, what's happening is that I post works older and older... I still have the huuuuge list of things to do in a corner of my mind, but I already can't start my homeworks for the holidays... Hopefully I'll have though something brand new to show before the end of the summer!
